The Ameren Illinois Utilities' current Business Energy Efficiency program offerings, the Standard Program and the Custom Program, are each based on set incentive totals for the program year, June 23, 2008-May 31, 2009. Standard Incentives are fixed cash-back amounts for common energy-efficiency projects for Lighting, HVAC, Refrigeration, and Motors Systems. Due to the outstanding customer response to these programs, the Act On Energy Standard Program is now fully subscribed for this program year with more than 250 projects that have been pre-approved and funds earmarked for those projects.

In an effort to provide incentive funding to as many projects as possible, Standard Incentive applications that have not received pre-approval notification and are currently in the technical review process, will now automatically be considered for incentive funding under the Custom Incentive Program. Using this approach, standard applications meeting the Custom Program criteria will still be eligible to be pre-approved on a first come, first served basis using the custom incentive rate of $0.05/kWh saved -- until that program also meets its goals for the program year ending May 31, 2009. Additional Standard Incentive programs will be available again on June 1, 2009, although please note that incentives may vary in year two of the program.
